Configure endpoint monitoring through the "new" azure portal

I am reading Exam Exam 70-532, Microsoft Azure Solution Development, published in March 2015. In the first chapter, it has the “Configure Endpoint Monitoring” section, where it gives you steps to configure endpoint monitoring using the Classic Management portal and the preview portal.

Following these steps, I can configure endpoint monitoring through the classic portal.

However, I cannot do this through the new portal.

Here are the first two steps listed in the book:

  • Go to the click of your site on the portal, which is accessed through https://portal.azure.com
  • Scroll down to Monitoring and click on Web Tests.

I do not see links to "Monitoring" or "Web tests" on the azure portal for my site.

Is this feature removed from the preview portal?

Is there a way to configure endpoint monitoring through the new portal?
