Files in the git repository are deleted and not tracked, but they still exist. How is this possible?

All (hundreds) of files in my repo are now displayed as untracked and deleted, although I can’t understand what’s going on?

ls shows that the files are in the directory

but git status .there are files in the directory that are deleted and not tracked. After a couple of months, I did not touch any of these files. In addition, a website for which files do not work now does not work ...

The situation may have been caused by the IDE you are working with. Possible scenario, possibly AFAIK:

1- (dashicons.eot,.svg,....) , , , git .
