I am trying to use Mecab in a new application that I am working on, but I am having problems getting the library to work correctly. I initially tried the following repository, which should be compatible with iOS 6:

I tried to create a universal binary and then add library and header files, and just add the whole project as a dependency, but in both cases I got a lot of errors. So, I refused this and returned to the original from which it was branched:

I believe that one of them was originally created for iOS 3. However, if you make the following changes to the sample application included in this repository, the application will create and run on iOS 9.3 simulators and devices:
Change line 26 in the application delegate from
[self.window addSubview:viewController.view]
to
[self.window setRootViewController:viewController]
Change the "Build Settings - Architecture" parameter to standard architectures (armv7 arm64) for the LibMecabSample target and the mecab library target found in the mecab.xcodeproj file in the Other Sources folder.
