Why does sbt say "Error: failed to load sbt 0.13.11"?

In the Scala project, I updated build.propertiesfrom 0.13.8 to 0.13.11 . This "broke" sbt, because it no longer starts, i.e. He can’t load 0.13.11 jars ?! sbt displays a list of checked repos, but was repo.typesafe.comnot one of them.

My local installed sbt is 0.13.8 .

For some reason, banks are scala-sbtno longer available in Typesafe Bintray. The largest version is 0.13.9.

I know this place is https://repo.typesafe.com/typesafe/ivy-releases/ , but how do I tell sbt to use this repo?

I already tried:

  • adding a converter to plugins.sbt
  • adding a converter to build.sbt
  • adding repo to .sbt/repositories

but I can't get it to work.

How to tell sbt where to get the binaries?

  • Make sure you are using sbt (launcher), which is on the same version above the version used in your project.

Run sbt aboutto an empty directory and find [info] This is sbt X.Y.X.

  • Make sure you are not using a ~/.sbt/repositoriesfile that installs the repositories used to resolve artifacts.

try setting https proxy information in http.proxyHost and http.proxyPort. This solved it for me.
