Use NPM to build an Angular2 project assembly

Question

I created a project using Angular2 quickstart https://angular.io/docs/js/latest/quickstart.html

I completely changed it to do my stuff, some webcams, indexedDB and the like :-).

The thing is, I use npm, as the site recommends, and now it feels wrong, just going to Gulp to create the assembly instead of creating the script assembly in npm.

The next problem is that I never did this and I completely lost ... did you know about any build script I could use / adapt? Or do I need to switch to Gulp?
