Facebook Graphics API for videos not returning expected data

Question

https://graph.facebook.com/v2.6/{video_id}/video_insights?metric=total_video_views&access_token={token}

I use the link above to get the JSON details in PHP for the video object, however I cannot get the required data wrt provided metric

data required: total_video_views

but there is no field relative to the required metric, i.e. total_video_views

Am I doing a wrong request here or something else?
