PyCharm File Number Designation

I noticed a number inside the square that looks like [9] next to the file that I have in Pycharm Community Edition on the dock on the left side, which I don’t understand. I cannot click on it or read more information about it. I could not find anything on the Pycharm website or any of their documentation. I am a little worried about this, as it can affect subversive activities if I had to do this, if there is a problem that I do not understand.

I can’t show a screenshot, because my company is very strict on what can be published on the Internet, but it looks something like this.

  • [python icon] filename1.py
  • [python icon] [9] filename2.py
  • [python icon] filename3.py

This is a unix file with 775 mode.

This is a numbered bookmark. You can delete it by selecting a file in the Project view and pressing Ctrl-Shift-9.
