Let me first of all say that I am NOT interested in a fiery war about which is better: .NET or Java ... PLEASE do not publish if you want to tell me how killer.NET works or how Microsoft is an evil empire, therefore there is no way for a developer to write .NET or something else with a soul. We have all heard this too much before.
What interests me is who in the industry can really accurately and fairly compare and contrast the details of the two platforms. I am looking for rare industry fixtures that are experts on both platforms and discuss them reasonably. The only dude I know in this area is Ted Neward, if that gives you an idea of what I'm looking for. Ultimately, I’m interested in their opinion on how two platforms influence each other and what happens on the one hand on one side, which work well (which can give me an idea of how the other platform can develop).
