Combining multiple CVS projects into one

I have several related CVS projects, and I would like to move them to subdirectories of one new project.

Suppose everyone who uses projects will delete their working copies before making changes. Is it possible to simply go into the repository directory and move directories as suggested in the manual ? Do I need to do something?

It’s very important to keep the file history, so I don’t just want to delete and rewrite them in a new place.

Making changes to the CVS repository is standard practice. However, instead of moving directories, try copying them (this is called a copy), and then delete the files in their original locations with the usual CVS commands. This way, even your changes will be recorded as part of the story.

Of course, keep a full backup of your CVS files before making any changes,
