Iphone SDK - Can I run a file (song) in the ipod function of iphone via SDK?

I would like to have a function in my iphone application that will start playing a file in my iphone ipod section. Does the SDK allow you to call this? Is there an easy way to start a song from my application besides using the iphones native interface?

No, I think the official iPhone OS 2.0 SDK does not allow this.

You cannot start the iPod application from your application. But you can easily play the song.

Use the AVAudioPlayer from the AVFoundation Framework.
