I have this program in mind that I would like to try and create in C ++. I am not sure which SDK I should use. Here is an idea:
Basically, like the status of Facebooks or twitter, but strictly for your desktop. A window, such as AIM or MSN, will allow you to view your friends and their current status, let you comment on it, etc. When someone changes their status, all their friends receive a small notification in the lower right corner of the screen, saying that their friends have a current status. Obviously, there would be much more that sets it apart, but this is the basic idea that I start with.
