Disable Adobe Flash Player hardware acceleration in embed code or AS

We run surfing streams on our website, which are played on our page using the latest version (5.4) of JWPlayer.

We recently switched to another streaming service and H.264 streams, because in the near future we plan to switch to iOS devices, however, this led to an error on the client side where users do not get vision (they only see a black screen on which they usually see video )

We found that disabling hardware acceleration (which was introduced in Flash Player 10.1+) fixes this problem, and given the range of environments in which these problems occur, I would say that this is related to specific video cards, their drivers, and how they handle decoding vision, etc.

The documentation we found regarding disabling hardware acceleration only indicates that this can be done using the wmode parameter, that is, by setting it to wmode="opaque" or wmode="transparent" , however this does not work in all cases (for the most part, the problem no longer exists), however we still see that 30% of our users get this problem.

We can ask users to turn off hardware acceleration on their own, and we have provided detailed information on how to do this, but for me this is only a temporary fix, and I was curious if something was more permanent, it could insert until Adobe won't fix this problem?

So, I found a solution to the problem - its two-part view.

Firstly : setting wmode="opaque" or wmode="transparent" will disable hardware acceleration - unfortunately, there were more questions that we experienced, as described below.

Secondly . The problem that we continued to experience was related to the type of stream we sent. Our streams were what you see on beaches or snow fields, etc. (For example, snowmobiles, surfing) - and, of course, the sound of the beach or the wind in the mountains is rather boring, so we do not send audio to the tape.

It turns out that this was the cause of the problem. H.264 decoding did not work, mainly on Mac computers, but more or less on any 10.1 players if no audio data was sent. The solution for this was simple: turn on the audio channel with 0dB (or any other muffled), and bam streams will start working again.

This is not an optimal solution, because it adds 16k overhead to our stream, which we would put on a higher quality. I picked up a ticket with Adobe, FP-6085 , so I hope this will be discussed in a future version. Or HTML5 streams will become reality in all browsers.

This also happens on our website.

We were able to avoid the problem on machines that are under our control, but we were not able to resolve this on our users machines.

This is similar to Mac / Chrome.

Here are my box'es specs.
