I looked at stackoverflow and I did not see this question being asked. I am looking for a primer for IIS 7. I really want to know the deep basic concepts; for example, how requests are processed, which services listen for incoming requests, application pools, all details. I avoid tutorials / books that just go through part of the GUI interface (although having both the details and the GUI would be helpful).
Anyone recommend anything? Any books or websites? I am new to web server technologies in general, but I work with ASP.NET, so I decided that finding a tutorial on the latest version of IIS would be most applicable.
