Does Heroku support Thinking Sphinx?

I would like to know if Heroku Sphinx (and its gemstone Sphinx Mind ) supports

It seems that Geroku will soon support the Sphinx through the Flying-Sphinx

You will need to run an ec2 instance and put all the text to search in SimpleDB or S3, etc., then run Sphinx on EC2. The answer will be quick, since your heroku application is also on EC2. Thus, an EC2 instance could only handle text search, with a pretty Heroku website.

you cannot use most text queries in heroku because you will not have a writable directory

Tom's solution seems possible ... I personally moved to Sunspot Solr to deploy to Heroku faster through Websolr. I love Sunspot, although sometimes I come across some strange results, especially the fact that I need to constantly reindex. Websolr sometimes has minor hiccups, but it gets better.

Sphinx thinking is supported by the hero, but it costs 12 bucks a month to suck.
