Change the sharepoint icon for a site programmatically

I need to change the site icon for each site in the site collection in sharepoint 2007. I already know that you can change it from Site Settings → Look and Feel. Is there any way to do this programmatically?

Do you mean the site logo? Check the SPWeb.SiteLogoUrl property . You probably want to install it as:

site.RootWeb.SiteLogoUrl = pictureUrl;
