What is the best practice of sending emails with a php script?

I hope this question will not be too specific. But I really need to ask. We all know that we cannot completely prevent the distribution of our emails to spam boxing correctly? But I think that we can reduce the number of emails that are sent there.

So far I have been using the built-in PHP function mail() , but I think there are other methods? What are they and what is your best practice for this problem?

Is there also a way to send emails through Google Appspot? Thanks!

A hosting service may be the best way. They have developed procedures and relationships with Internet service providers that will help you get your emails and help you get rid of spam complaints.

I have a mailing list for the blog that I am launching, and I decided not to send an email that had a (otherwise legitimate) pharmacy history. I figured that almost no one would receive an email, and that I would have a lot of spam complaints, simply because of the word "pharmacy."

Provide useful information in your emails first. Use double rejection procedures. This will reduce the chance of your spam email being sent.

I am using Swiftmailer .

If you read the documents and follow the recommendations, you will have much less mail packages in the spam folder. I have used it with great success. It also has some useful plugins.
