SMTP error: failed to connect to server: (0)

I am using AWS Elastic Beanstalk and I cannot send emails using PHPMailer. But on my local server, this works like a charm. AWS Elastic Beanstalk uses Red Hat 4.8.3-9 ... I tried to diagnose all PHPMailer troubleshooting methods and everything works fine ... I donโ€™t know if the last "SELinux lock" is a problem, but my error is not the same .

I am trying to use getsebool httpd_can_sendmail and the answer is getsebool: SELinux is disabled .

My mistake:

SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: (0)

Can you tell me what the problem is and how can I fix it?

An elastic beanstalk blocks outgoing SMTP by default. The steps in the troubleshooting guide will show you this (telnet or openssl connections to port 465 on your server will fail). Actually this is not! Amazon wants you to use SES for email. This is really a duplicate of AWS Elastic Beanstalk - MAIL (sending and receiving emails)
