Java.lang.SecurityException when installing apk

since you know that apk is a zip archive, I extracted it and replaced some resources and buttoned it again when I installed it, I get this exception

java.lang.SecurityException: META-INF / MANIFEST.MF has an invalid digest

any solution for this error ??

Did you sign it after re-packaging? Changing anything in it violated the existing signature.

If the package is already installed and you re-sign the new one using a different signature key, it will also refuse to install.

I came across the same error caused by installing JDK 7 instead of 6. Hope this helps some other people with this error.

My problem was the wrong certificate alias in the keystore. I changed it to "CERT" and it started working. I used this command: keytool -changealias -alias "1" -destalias "CERT" -keystore android.jks
