GEDCOM for HTML and RDF

I was wondering if anyone knew of an application that would take the GEDCOM genealogy file and convert it to HTML format for viewing and publishing on the Internet. I would like to have separate html files for each person and, possibly, additional files for other content. I know that there are some tools, but I was wondering if anyone used any tools and could advise this. I'm not sure in what format to look for such applications. It can be Python or php files that can be edited, or even JavaScript (possibly) or just executable files.

The following question may be appropriate for the topic in itself. Export GEDCOM to RDF. My interest here was to map information to specific dictionaries, such as BIO or REL, which are both extended from FOAF.

Thanks Bruce

A few years ago, I created a simple Java program to turn gedcom into xml. Then I used xslt to generate html and rdf. I am generating html in a rather rudimentary way, so it would probably be better to look elsewhere for this, but rdf might be useful for you:

As Rob Cam said, Ged2Html has been the most popular such program for a long time.

GRAMPS can also create static HTML sites and has the advantage of being free software and has its own XML format, which you can easily modify to suit your needs.

There are a few of them. All listed at http://www.cyndislist.com/gedcom/gedcom-to-web-page-conversion/

Ged2html was the most popular and versatile, but now it is no longer being developed. This is an executable file with output customizable using its own script syntax.

The family historian http://www.family-historian.co.uk will create exactly what you are looking for, for example, one file per person using the built-in website creator. Like a couple of other basic pedigrees. I have not seen anything for the RDF part of your question.

Since then, I tried to create the Genealogy application using the Semantic MediaWiki - MediaWiki, Wikipedia and Semantic MediaWiki software includes various extensions related to the Semantic Web. I thought it was very easy to use with forms and the ability to download GEDCOM, but some reviews from people in the genealogy say that they were too technical and did not seem to offer anything new.

So, now the problem is whether to stay with MediaWiki and make it more user-friendly or create a completely new application that allows you to add and update data in three-dimensional storage, as well as display. Iโ€™m not sure how to generate a graphical representation of family data, for example, on sites such as ancestry.com, where you can click on a field to view information about a person and update this information, or you can right-click or left arrow around the window to move on wood. The data comes from SPARQL queries sent to the data warehouse / triple store, both when displaying the initial view and when navigating in a tree where an Ajax call is required to get more data.
