In app purchase on windows phone

Is the official in the App Purchase for a Windows phone the same as the iPhone (which connects to iTunes).

Here is a good explanation about In App Purchase

In-app purchase (IAP) means the purchase of more content for the application through the Marketplace, while in the application. Another name often used for them is micro-transactions for small purchases. Buying a new costume for your character. You need several thousand gold coins to get your favorite cat in the game you are playing. You can play the game and kill the monsters in a few hours and earn XP to get a cat, or you could pay $ 2 now through an in-app purchase and have a cat right now.

thanks

I believe that at the moment there are no such features on the Windows Phone 7 platform. Also, in the next version of WP7 OS, the codename Mango will not include the In-App purchase function. Here is a comment from Todd Brix

@BNID, @Justin Pitta; In applications, trading is included in the short list of wed functions, as for inclusion, but, unfortunately, it is not cut for mangoes.

Here, this service is called MoVend , which supposedly supports in-app purchases on Windows Phone. Did not try though.

Try CarrotPay. It is absolutely a micro service for micro transactions. Very competitive penny payment scheme. They have already released the Mobile Payment API. Check it out on your website
