Ics Alarms Not Displayed in Google Calendar or Outlook

I am a little surprised that I did not find a solution or answer to this question, because there seem to be a lot of developers who are experiencing it.

I am creating an ics file using DDay.ical, but VALARMS does not configure reminders in Google Calendar or Outlook 2007.

Here is a snippet from the ics file

Thanks in advance for your help, sniffing an explanation or a fix.

If VALARM does not work, double check that the end line used is \r\n , and not just \n , as shown incorrectly in many examples on the Internet.

I had the same problem in Outlook 2010. For some reason, if you open the .ics file directly (and create a new calendar), it will lose all reminders. However, if you use the file-> import 'method (' file-> open-> import 'in 2010), select the .ics file and “import” into your existing calendar, it will save the reminders. I think this is completely confused with part of Microsoft, but hopefully this will work for you. I can’t answer about the Google calendar, but maybe it looks like?

here is a link on how to import the calendar into Outlook so that it can integrate into your current calendar: http://help.unc.edu/CCM3_022163
