Big Endian and Vans

I understand the difference between the two. Looking at the Wikipedia entry , it seems that the litte-endian format is gaining momentum, and this is not such a big problem as before.

HP-UX on Itanium is the only latest processor to use the big-endian format. Most others use little-endian, which indicates that industry is standardizing on this. It's true? Am I missing something? Are there any of these differences for mobile OS such as iOS and Android?

ARM architecture works with both little and great enthusiasm, but the Android, iOS 6, and Windows Phone platforms are little oriented. 95% of modern desktop computers are cowardly.
