Eclipse mylyn with redmine

Is it possible to connect mylyn to redmine without resting support in redmine?

• there is a link http://download.eclipse.org/mylyn/incubator/3.8 , which can be used in Eclipse. for an individual Eclipse:

  • Help → Install new software → Add → use the link above for the URL
  • the plugin must be installed: Mylyn Incubator → Mylyn Task Connector: web templates (advanced) (incubation). Version = 3.8.0.I20120414-0402

• after installation, I was able to follow the steps described at http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/HowTo_Mylyn (section "Using the common web storage connector").

• there is also half a decent video on Youtube :)

If you are using Eclipse Indigo, use the update site:

(as of 09/16/2012) http://download.eclipse.org/mylyn/incubator/3.8

install "Mylyn Tasks Connector: Web Templates (Optional)" and follow the instructions on the mikalv link published above.

Incubator links appear to change as versions of Eclipse rise. It seems that the best way to find out the update URL is to check the "General Web Template Templates" section of the Mylyn User Guide wiki wiki. They provide updated information link to the mylyn download site, where you can find the update url for the incubator.
