IPhone 3G device completed, but application fails to load

I am trying to run an application on a 3G device. Xcode says the application has “Finished Launching on iPhone”, but the application will not be deployed. I think I configured the architecture correctly (see image below)

I realized this at last. Info.plist has the option "Required Devices", which was installed in armv7. I knew about the requirements of armv6 and armv7 in the target build settings for the 3G model, but not in plist. here is a screenshot. hope this helps someone else getting stuck with something similar:

Your configuration looks great. I have seen this before; removing the device from the organizer (selecting it in the list to the left of the "Devices" tab and clicking the "Delete" button at the bottom of the main panel), restarting Xcode and reconnecting it seems to fix the problem.

In my case, the standard (armv7) was installed for the architecture in the target properties. I had to add armv6 architecture and it worked

In the settings, check "Required device capabilities." I had a problem setting accelometr to OFF. When I deleted this line, everything will start working.

Similar issue for 3G (iOS4) and 4GS (iOS5)

Each .xib file and underlying data model also have a deployment property. This is in the identity inspector. It changed me.

Make sure that you have this setting in the settings of the target assembly, and not just in the project build settings.

Restarting the device usually fixes this for me.

In the "Build Settings" section at the top, you will not select "Levels". If you choose this, you may find that the Architecture and / or your code signature identification does not match the settings that appear in the Combined setting. I had a case when the application was successfully built and simply did not deploy over the phone. When I select Levels, the values in my target App for these build settings were incorrect. As soon as I installed them, it turned around perfectly on the device.

Hope this helps.
