How to get an iPhone or iPad (iOS 5.x) to correctly recognize the credentials of my certificate

I created a self-signed root center certificate using makecert . I created the SSL certificate certificate by this authority and linked my IIS 7 website to it. Then I clicked the root certificate on the iPad using IPhoneConfigurationUtility. However, when I browse my HTTPS site using my iPad, it still does not trust it. What am I doing wrong? What information can I provide here to help you guys help me.

I took the following steps on this MSDN page . The one exception is that I'm on IIS 7

What version of iOS do you have?

Apparently, there were some problems with SSL processing on iOS 5. Try installing it over the air (and not through the iPhone configuration utility)
