Is Node.js ready for Windows?

The new 0.5.1 branch has an official Windows executable from Node.js. The Linux version of Node.js uses installed libraries, such as v8, libev, libeio.

Since libev and libeio for * NIX platforms; Is it a Windows Node.js port, ready for use in production, or is it designed only for development?

0.5.x is unstable. Even the branch numbers are stable, and the coefficients are unstable, so you will need to wait 0.6.x if you want the production to be ready and stable.

Version 0.5.1 is marked unstable, so do not expect this to be product quality. Microsoft seems to support the Win32 Node port, so in the future (closer?) It will be stable.

I tried the Windows version of Node.js (0.5.1). It really works very well, but I could not load the "child_process" module. It looks like it was not sent with the current version.

Only my two cents.

Updated: Here is TODO.Win32 that answers my questions.
