HL7 Waiver Data

Does anyone know about the HL7 uninstall / uninstall tool.

I am mainly looking for a tool to uninstall single and batch hl7 messages.

You can see the Caristix Cloak tool ( http://caristix.com/products/cloak/ ).

Here is the description from the site:
Caristix Cloak deactivates protected patient data at source, in HL7 logs, and message flows. It creates audit reports after each de-identification. This is the easiest way to generate clinically valid data for interface development, testing, and analytics — and stay consistent with your HIPAA policies and procedures.

It is pretty fast and easy to use. It can use realistic data, such as fake patient names and addresses, and not just random strings. In addition, when you deactivate multiple messages, the clinical workflow remains the same as PatientX is replaced with patientY for the entire message list.

We use the Ultraport HL7 Notebook from HermeTech . It has a number of great features for converting (anonymizing) HL7 data. You can receive 1 or 2 test messages and create 10,000 unique anonymous HL7 messages with different data, but still "clones" of the original for about 5 MINUTES.

I believe that he (or at least had) a fully functional free 30-day trial period. If you have problems, they have really good customer service, even if you have not purchased the program.

Although this is not a pure de-identification tool, grab a copy of MirthConnect .

You can then configure it using a channel with a source for reading files and a file destination. It will read the files from the source, perform the conversion, and then write them to the destination.

Then your conversion (possibly the best as a target transformer using simple mappings) needs to be set up to capture the individual fields that need to be removed. Usually they include names, addresses, and identifiers (ESPECIALLY SSN!).

You should also pay close attention to NTE text fields and segments, which may contain text data that must also be unidentified.

We use Corepoint, and we often have to decrypt our messages for testing, etc., we simply unidentify records with standard patient information for testing. However, all records will have the same patient information. But I found that it works very well for most of our tests.

If your Hag7 Messagine Interface engine is flexible enough, it should be pretty easy to do the same.
