Disable scan sources for a specific folder in netbeans 7.1 RC2

I have a problem with netbeans viewing a large directory of PHP files. Scanning takes about 2 hours and completely blocks IDE autocompletion and slows it down significantly.

I have tried several things:

  • disable automatic source scanning as indicated here
  • adding a file template to the "Files ignored by IDE" field
  • adding a directory to the list of ignored folders in the properties of my project

None of this has been done.

Anyone idea?

You can also ignore only some files from an automatic source scan.

You need to close the Tasks tab to stop it.
