Ios real-time streaming video

I need streaming video from an iPhone / iPad camera to a server. It seems like it needs to be done using AVCaptureSession, but I don't know how best to do it.

I found this post:

But it does not process the "live" part, latency should be no more than 2 or 3 seconds. Devices can be limited to 4 or 4S, if necessary, and there is no requirement for HD, VGA - this is probably what we get. I assume that any solution will use ffmpeg, I have not found a more suitable library.

How is this best done?

According to Apple, if you send a large amount of data from an iPhone application, you will have to use HTTP Live Streaming.

Perhaps here is an application called Livu

Try ffmpeg for iPhone and segmenter from Carson Macdonald's excellent Ion Cannon site, which has a lot of useful information about the HTTP Live stream. He is also here, and he can offer invaluable advice.
