Silverlight for Mac and Silverlight dead?

that's why I wrote a prototype application in Silverlight for the last 3 months, although I enjoy the technology, and it was very useful for the current task, I read and told from various sources that the technology can not be supported any longer, and HTML5 is the way forward? It was just interesting if there was any solid information about this from Microsoft, and if so, where could it be found? Have done some search queries and just found blogs with sparse information.

Also, if someone had thoughts about the state of the Mac version of Silverlight? So far I have run some tests, and application performance is very poor compared to silverlight running on windows.

I will need to search for articles and links again, but for a long time Microsoft has not answered any questions about Silverlight, and recently announced that they will not encourage and will no longer develop Silverlight for the desktop. Now they are encouraging the use of HTML5, as evidenced by Windows8, which cannot even launch Silverlight directly.

So what should a developer do from Microsofts posts (or lacks about him) about Silverlight at a developer conference at the premiere?

I asked Bob Maglia, the president of Microsoft, the server and tools responsible for the company, this question and received what I consider to be the clearest answer about how Microsoft is developing its Silverlight Strategy.

“Silverlight is our development platform for Windows Phone,” he said. Silverlight also has a few "sweet spots" in the media and application business lines, he said.

But when it comes to advertising Silverlight as a Microsoft vehicle for providing cross-platform runtime, “our strategy has changed,” Maglia told me.

And about the Mac:

“But HTML is the only true cross-platform solution for everything, including the (apples) iOS platform,” Maglia said.

I would prefer not to participate in these discussions, but one comment said that this is best. None of us can reasonably answer this question. Even if the MS strategy has changed. ”That could change. The CEO, who said it was Bob Maglia, announced a month later (maybe 1.5 months) announced that he was leaving the company (and no longer works with Microsoft today).

The only real indicators that we have are that they have not announced the end date of their lives, and there is another technology that uses Silveright, which came out under the name VS LightSwitch (and not just the phone). Not to mention that it means that Sivlerlight is sticking out, BUT we really don't know. The problem is more complicated than a fan of any type can really answer.

I would like to think that this will be for a while (and I personally base a new project on it). Not to mention the fall, but there are former sequels and evangelists from Win8 who recently left MS to go to work at Disney (where I know that they do a lot of Silverlight work).
