How to determine if the iOS version supports automatic shopping updates?

Am I particularly tight today? I am working on an application that should offer obsolete subscriptions to older versions of iOS and automatically renew subscriptions to newer versions of iOS.

I usually check the use of the responsesToSelector test for something suitable in the classes that I want to use, but I don’t see anything in the updated repository, which would allow me to run the test.

So, how should I check if the device supports automatic updating of subscribers? I know that I can check the explicit version number of iOS, but I would prefer not to.

Is there a smarter check I can do?

Why not just check out the iOS version you need? How difficult is it?

Hi Roger. I was in a local group for iOS developers, and the topic of automatic subscription renewal appeared.

1 Designed for "Magazines", which I suppose to work only with applications for newspaper books

2, and it is ONLY intended for Installed publications.

This implies a print version, and not just any ole publication. It must be a national syndicated thing that you will find at every major stand in the country.

From what I collect in the conversation, Apple does not mean that the automatic update function opens any new monetization channels for application developers (at least not less), but rather, a function has been created that extends the existing business model of printing publications on the iPhone iPad . Perhaps sometime in the future this feature will be extended to all applications in the application store. We hope here.
