Facelets pages in the WEB-INF directory

Each example project that I have seen so far, in a book or tutorial, has received XHTML (Facelets) pages at the same level as the WEB-INF directory. I also read that in order for the pages to not be accessible directly on the server, you need to hide them in the WEB-INF directory, which means that this requires some kind of permission. My question is: how can I do this?

I think you misunderstood the purpose of the XHTML files that are located in /WEB-INF . These are include files, basic templates and tag files, exactly those pages that you do not want the end user to open offline. Regular pages and template clients are not hosted in /WEB-INF .
