Find non-ssl items on https page

Can anyone recommend a good way to detect any non-https elements on the https page. Using Chrome, I usually look at the resources and go over one by one, but it doesn’t seem right away, and it’s still hard to catch some things.

In the lower right corner of the developer pointer there is a "Show console" button. The icon looks a bit like this> = (instead of 2 horizontal lines it's three)

When you click the button, it will show you all insecure content elements. Maybe something loaded from your css. That should do the trick.

in firefox you just “view the page information” and then click on the tab with media resources
