Are there standalone C # / debuggers. NET?

I am wondering if there are Visual Studio quality debuggers that can run outside of Visual Studio, and not inside the IDE? It would be great if it were Open Source, so I could check how it was done, but this is not a requirement, and it will not be free.

WinDBG with SOS extension

After that, there is a series of 6 videos to get started with WinDBG http://channel9.msdn.com/Series/-NET-Debugging-Stater-Kit-for-the-Production-Environment

WinDBG is also useful for the following scenarios where the VS debugger is not efficient / available

  • Hangs up
  • Crashes
  • Dead ends
  • Work environment

You should try mdbg.exe .

Also available in the Windows SDK directory on your computer, for example, C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft SDK \ Windows \ v7.0A \ Bin \ NETFX 4.0 for VS2010.
