Sort directories named as landmarks

So, in windows, if you have a bunch of directories called GUIDs and you sort by name, it doesn't sort alphabetically. I think this applies to 7 and Vista. I also did not find a single template. Do windows think they are something else? In terms of coding, we have some old projects that store assets in GUID folders, and without sorting it can be difficult to quickly check the data.

Mark Ransom seems to be right about how windows are sorted. W7 seems to do a natural sort. This “feature” can be disabled using the following instructions. However, this is a silly shame: you cannot make these changes to Windows 7 home premium.

The ban on what you can try:

1) Type gpedit.msc in the Start menu search field, and then press Enter. 2) Go to "User Configuration"> "Administrative Templates"> "Windows Components" and then select "Windows Explorer" in the left column of the Group Policy Editor. 3) Disable numerical sorting in Windows Explorer in the "Settings" section of the Group Policy Editor.

He applies what is known as the “natural variety” —numeric and alphabetic sequences are split and sorted separately. The first parts of your examples are numerical and sorted this way: 1, 3, 5, 07, 7, 9, 19, 57, 214, etc., And then those that begin with alpha follow.

I don’t think there is a way to change it.
