How compatible is backward compatibility with Guava / Google collections?

I am working on a large application with several projects still using Google Collections 1.0. I want to switch to Guava 12. Testing on projects is not very large. Has anyone had similar experience updating this, and are there any incompatibilities? What are the main issues?

Guava 12 is almost completely compatible with Google Collections, but very few of them have gone through an 18-month period of obsolescence and have been removed; see https://code.google.com/p/guava-libraries/issues/detail?id=836 .

However, no one should still be in Google Collections, and we highly recommend that you migrate.
