Vim default leader on MacBook

Question

I use Vim on a MacBook Pro and to enter \ , I have to enter Maj + Alt + / . The default Vim leader key is tied to \ , but entering the entire shortcut does not work as a key key.

Is there a way to make it work or use a different key key, for example?

I use this command:

 let mapleader = ','

Put the following line in your .vimrc to use as your leader

 let mapleader = ',' 

Save .vimrc and run vim again. Now your leader
