Accelerated Android emulator continues to reboot

I use to test the application on both real devices and AVD. Since the ICS virtual appliance was very slow, I decided to try an accelerated emulator . I followed the instructions and successfully configured the accelerated virtual machine using Intel Virtualization Technology (x86 system target).

The emulator works and it is very fast. BUT, the second time you download / install the application, it suddendly reboots. It always works great the first time it starts / loads , but when I edit something and test the application again, it reboots from scratch (showing the Android logo).

I do not use save / restore snapshots. LogCat does not report errors . I use the Android SDK Rev.20 tools and the rev tools. 12, on Win7.

Intelhaxm seems to be working correctly, reporting a status of "RUNNING". After rebooting, I have to download the application again, which is annoying.

Has anyone encountered the same problem and may have decided to solve it?

The latest version of SDK Tools, revision 20.0.1, claims to have fixed bugs related to emulators using GPU acceleration. Try this after upgrading to the latest SDK and ADT tools.

From the change history :

Fixed problems with launching more than one emulator and launching several emulators with GPU acceleration.
