Video capture video in iOS programmatically

I am trying to create a UIView that allows the user to press a button in me and record a screen (do not make video from the camera), and then save it in a folder with documents. I saw here several SO articles that talk about AVAssetWriter and link to this link: http://codethink.no-ip.org/wordpress/archives/673 , but this link seems dead.

But no one actually demonstrated a solution or provided any examples of how to do this. Does anyone have any ideas or can point me in the right direction? It should be easier than it is.

Thanks Doug

The link is not dead.

If you mark comments, there is also some code that will mix audio and video and save it as a video in quick playback mode.

If you still cannot access the link, there is a guy selling the same code in binpress:

Another useful project for this is RecordMyScreen, which can be found here: https://github.com/coolstar/RecordMyScreen

Another way to get closer to it is to use a feedback library such as BlitFeedback, which includes easy video capture.
