IntelliJ and M2 repo

Question

I configured Maven in IntelliJ and the paths are correct for the M2 repo. How can I tell IntelliJ that this is a repo when it needs a dependency in my project?

In Settings> Maven, click "Override" next to the local repository directory http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/webhelp/maven.html
