No IDLE for Python 3?

I installed Python 3.1 on my Windows Vista PC yesterday and was surprised to find that the IDLE version is 2.6.4 for "Python 2.6.4 (r264: 75708, October 26, 2009 08:23:19) [MSC v.1500 32 bit (Intel)] on win32 "

I was hoping to use IDLE to learn some new Python 3 features ...

I guess I'm stuck on the command line ...

Does anyone know that with Python 3 IDLE?

thanks

Got! I changed the target of the shortcut to "c: \ Python31 \ pythonw.exe" "c: \ Python31 \ Lib \ idlelib \ idle.pyW" (with quotes), and now the shortcut (and shortcut) will open IDLE version 3.1.1. The idea was from the first answer to the question in How to run IDLE (Python editor) without using a shortcut in Windows Vista?

Enter "idle3" in the terminal window. This should start your idle copy of 3.1.
