The Apple Human Interface Guide (HIG) explicitly states that for iPhone Launch images, enable the status bar, but not for the iPad for it. (see image at the end of the question). (Revision of the document from 2012/3/07).
Thus, I assumed that any status information (operator, time, battery) would be automatically cropped either by Xcode itself or by the iPhone so that it would not be shown to the user.
But why inconsistency for the iPad? First, Xcode can actually take an image, and if it sees that it is a full size of 1024 x 768, then crop the area of ββthe status bar. And are there any other reasons? For example, when an iPhone or iPad launches an application, is the status bar always displayed on one device, while the other device does not always display it and causes a difference in the rule?
