Netbeans 7.2 not starting

I recently installed the beta version of Netbeans 7.2 and it worked perfectly. I then installed the final release of Netbeans 7.2 on top of the beta and were there during the installation of Netbeans 7.1 and Netbeans 7.12. Now, when I start Netbeans, it does not go beyond "loading modules." Just the Netbeans screen disappears a few seconds after starting. Then I did the following.

  • Removed all versions of Netbeans and installed Netbeans 7.2
  • Remote AppData / Netbeans Folder
  • Remote user /.nbi folder
  • Searched for the registry and deleted Netbeans entries. (But only one entry was found)
  • The remote Netbeans folder in the Program Files folder.
  • Disconnected and installed on a separate drive.
  • Disabled and reinstalled under a different user account.

None of this was done, the only thing I did not try was to reinstall the Windows XP operating system.

Is there any way to try before reinstalling the operating system?

I had the same problem ... with netbeans 7.2, go to user / appdata / roaming / 7.2 / modules / and delete all jar files except docs, ext, locale folders ... and run ide again ... basically the problem is that when you update the ideal after the update, when you launch the ideal, it adheres to the load module phase.

What's the stability issue with NetBeans 7.2

Just kill and restart the IDE, and everything should be fine.

First of all, you need to check the correct version of the JDK. Netbeans 7.2 requires JDK 1.7, not 1.8.
You can check out {Netbeans Install Path} /etc/netbeans.conf. Find netbeans_jdkhome and its meaning. Make sure you install JDK1.7 and this line netbeans_jdkhome="C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_25" , for example.
If not, change the value to the correct installation path.

I had the same problem, make sure you have the required version of the JDK configured during the installation process.

At first I tried everything to no avail, finally I had to remove NetBeans 7, then install NetBeans 8, which also corresponded to my JDK 8. This solved the problem for me. Hope this helps others.

Make sure that the correct JDK directory is selected in the installation wizard, if you are not sure that you can change it from C:\Program Files\NetBeans {netbeans version}\etc you will see a file that netbeans.conf edit it (for this I use Notepad ++ ) At the bottom of the file you will see the line netbeans_jdkhome="C:\Program Files\Java\{jdk directory you want}" make sure that it is really JDK and JDK, not JRE
