CouchDB does not replicate design documents

I have an instance of CouchDB 1.2.0 running on my laptop, and I want to replicate a local database called "soup" to the remote machine that is running the instance of CouchDB 1.1.1. I am doing replication with futon and I see that the request is ok:

Request URL:http://127.0.0.1:5984/_replicate Request Method:POST Request Payload: {"source":"soup","target":"http://projects.blurrcat.com/couchdb/soup"} 

However, when replication is complete, all documents except the project documents are replicated. Can someone tell me why? Is it because of the difference in version?

The design documentation will only be replicated if you are authenticated as an administrator or db administrator for your purpose. Try something like setting your goal as

 http://admin:[e-mail]/couchdb/soup
