IOS - a very slow app purchase in a sandbox simulator

Question

I am developing apps for my iphone app. The sandbox environment seems very slow, sometimes it takes more than 30 seconds before a confirmation warning appears, and then another 30 seconds or more before I can enter my credentials. Is this a common thing with the env sandbox?

Usually this is a little slower than production, but not that slow.
