What is a .wav feed? Are all channels playing at the same time when playing a WAV file?

I read about.wav file format by googling, all I could understand was that Frames are made from samples (a certain specific bit depth), and the wav stereo file has several because of the named channels .... The confusion is What channel consists of frames? Do all channels play when playing an audio file? If a channel consists of frames, are all channels equal in length (bit wise)? Answer if someone can, I have to display each channel separately when playing a wav file in waveform

There are channels in every frame in wav. If you have stereo sound, each frame contains two samples (left and right).

  • Do all channels play when playing an audio file?

Yes, if you have not selected only one channel. Then the samples for the second channel are ignored.

  • If a channel consists of frames, are all channels equal in length (bit)?

Yes.
