PayPal Express Chekout without credit / debit card payment

I have a website that uses PayPal Express Checkout as a payment method.

This has been working for 2 years without problems, but yesterday I noticed that the payment options were changed before the 2 payment options presented to the user

  • Log in and pay with your PayPal account.
  • PayPal does not have credit / debit card payments.

But now the second option is being replaced by creating a PayPal account. Unable to pay without a PayPal account.

I have not changed anything.

Does anyone know why a credit / debit card payment has left.

before

now

First, make sure that your PayPal / Sandbox account has a PayPal account Extras: ON Go to โ†’ PayPal account profile โ†’ Advanced options โ†’ My Selling Tools โ†’ Website Settings.

And then set SolutionTypeType to Sole, making a request for setExpressCheckout, this will make it possible to pay with a debit or credit card. And you're done :)

What I know earlier when you pay with a credit card on paypal using the express check API also creates an account for this user and allows the user to process various things, such as a bank account with payment in PayPal or credit card.

This is the default behavior for PayPal express validation according to their new look

PayPal displays various express check options depending on the selected country (it will determine your IP address and indicate the country if there was no country on the page). for example, Indonesia (etc.) forces you to create a Paypal account, while in the USA (etc.) it doesnโ€™t (and provides other options).
