Is there an interactive way to learn Vim?

A few years ago, I was looking for a way to find out Vim that did not touch the text wall or scroll vimtutor without knowing the commands for this. I wondered if anything else exists for such a purpose.

I programmed the game specifically for this purpose! This is an online game in which you move the cursor using vim commands and movements. Check it out at http://vim-adventures.com . The first couple of levels teach h j k l and word navigation. The rest is planned to be spent on money.

To answer your question: vimtutor is a good way to learn vim interactively. If you read it, it will give you all the necessary commands to go through it, and you will really learn how to use vim.

If this is too much effort, I really doubt that vim is for you.

An old question, but for others looking for something similar that was not mentioned: https://www.shortcutfoo.com/

http://kikuchiyos-vim-game.herokuapp.com

Released this mid-2011, when the vim adventure was created, but it never came to almost vim adventures. Never played a lot, but still a free alternative for anyone interested in overcoming the vim learning curve - basic movement and changing modes.

For the beginner himself, http://vimsnake.com is also good.
It will be interesting to improve muscle memory for the keys h , j , k , l , esc and i

Now, after preparing for these keys, we can go to http://www.vimgenius.com/ for training. It just looks like an alternative to shortcutfoo.com, and more is vim specific.
