I am using Excel 2010. I would like me to add an excel form field name. How can I do this, not in VBA?

You can change it in the name field:

You can do this by editing the name field to the left of the formula bar, here:

  • Open the Excel sheet where you want to change the name of the required flag,
  • Go to the developer's menu and open it,
  • Go to the design mode icon and click on it,
  • Check the box to change the name,
  • Right click
  • Go to the property bar and click on it,
  • Go to the title bar,
  • Edit the next window - here you can make changes.

To change the name of the selected object, use the "Name" field above and to the left of cell A1.

If by chance you only try to change the capitalization of some characters, Excel does not accept this as a change, and it will return to the original as soon as you press Enter.

For example, if it is called CheckBox5, and you want to change it to checkBox5, you need to rename it to something else first, and then to checkBox5.
