Is WatiN Discontinued?

I was looking for help with a problem related to IE 9 and WatiN when I noticed that almost all the questions and answers were made in 2011. At that time, most of the people who answered said that an update would soon be released to resolve the issue issues. However, we are in 2013, and the last update dates back to April 2011.

Does anyone know if the WatiN project has been discontinued?

Is there a good alternative to WatiN?

For .NET, why not go with test support with VisualStudio2012? You get a coded user interface and all this jazz. It should even have a cross browser . Please note that you may need VS Premium or Ultimate .

If VS is not available to you, try selenium / webdriver
